So when I joined FS and calculated my RDI it said 1800 calories. I thought that was way too high and I changed it to 1300. I have come to realize that 1300 is too low, but I still feel like 1800 is excessive. According to my UP, my average calorie burn for a day is between 1700-1800 (without exercise). So I changed it to 1500. Trying to stick with the slow weight loss to keep it off, and I feel like this might be the right amount.

Unfortunatly, those "how many calories should you eat a day" type websites are sometimes off... by a LOT. They did the same to me on a few websites saying that I needed like 1,800 as well.. Mind you, I have a 10 hour a day desk job and I only weigh about 115 lbs. I only workout about 45 minutes a day (circuit training or running). I had to go to a lot of different websites just to find the median average of how many calories I should be consuming, which is around 1,300. So, take those websites advice with a grain of salt. There are "calculations" that can be done to see how many calories you need, but even then, they are sometimes way off as well. I say, dont stuff yourself, but dont starve yourself either.

Try playing around with 1500 w/HIIT programs. 1200-1300 if the HIIT program is 100% cardio don't eat at least 2 hours before or 2 hours after except an electrolyte replacement drink after. 1500 if you are using weights/resistance have a shake or bar 1/2 before and a shake/bar within 1/2 hour after. Also have an electrolyte replacement drink. Rest days cleanse under 500 calories. Do 4 days on/4 day off. If you cheat....do it on a day before you cleanse detox. You will confuse your body with changing your caloric daily intake. Eat smaller meals/snacks (200-250 calories). The key is the HIIT training has to be VERY intense and quick. If you need some HIIT shoot me a message and I will email you some I created. They WILL kick your A** and kick your metabolism into HIGH gear!
