So, as weird as it seems I don't have a weigh in day. I just randomly step on the scale every few days and log it in. I feel like it is too much pressure to have an official day every week that I weigh myself. Sometimes I'll do it every other day and sometimes I'll go a week or two without weighing. I feel like this keeps me more on my toes. Does anyone else do this?

I don't have an official weigh in day either. I avoid stepping on the scale after I had lots of carbs and or salt. It's not important what the scale says anyways, it's all about how you feel about yourself. I am always proud of myself if I didn't overeat and if I exercised.

I have frequent doctor visits so I just put in the weight they tell me when I go to the Dr. I don't weigh at home but every now and then I will step on the scale here at work just to see how it compares to what the Dr told me.

I weight myself every morning pretty much at the same time...I notice when I start skipping days is when I start putting weight back in...so weighing myself daily keep me in check...so this works for me..

Its personal preference. As you see everyone who has commented has a different routine that works for them. For me? I hate the scale. I may weigh once a week or even after 3 weeks. I don't care for weight so much because my main focus is getting stronger, gaining muscle. I am working on this as I lose fat. We all know muscle weighs more. So for me the scale could go up and down due to my gaining of muscle and loss of fat. I hate relying on the scale. I rather rely on how I feel and fit into my clothes. But this goes along with MY goals. You will find what routine best fits your goals. It all comes with time and tweaking.

I weigh in every morning as well, unless im not home. I don't pack my scale with me although I used. to. I finally realized this was a little over board. but if I am not weighing in I start gaining it back. I understand some meals will up me a little for a day or two. although it frustrates me I also get strict right away so I get back in track faster I think. as always find a routine that is good for you. you know your habits and how your mind sees things.

I think the only thing that matters is each person's own comfort level, and whether or not what they do works. If weighing in randomly works for you that's all that matters.

Personally, I am OBCESSED with weighing myself a few times every day. But I wouldn't recommend it. I'm just weird like that ;-)

I usually weigh myself at least once every 1-2 days, but I dont always log them in. I usually try to wait every 1-2 weeks for official weigh ins. Or anytime I reach a new low!

I'm doing the Whole30 - you weigh yourself every 30 days. This is a little hard but you don't see the fluctuation. Pack your scale away so it doesn't tempt you.

That would freak me out. I'm too OCD to handle that approach. Monday is my weigh in day. Good, bad, ugly, or whatever; me & the scales have a standing date every Monday. I don't step on the scale any other time; so I don't temp myself to splurge if I am doing well & it helps me hold myself accountable over the weekends knowing the scale comes out on Monday.

A Monday weigh day would definitely make me behave over the weekend!! I'm with you on the once a week thing...daily weight fluctuations would make me nuts.

Great comments everyone, thanks! I guess I do it this way because I used to be a little OCD about it and decided not to be a slave to the scale. When I weighed myself everyday I used to get angry if the number went up like 2-3 pounds in one day and I would lose focus. I guess this just works better for me.

My weigh in day is every Thursday.For some reason I woke yesterday mistakenly thinking that it was Thurs, so I weighed and recorded.On realizing that today is the right day for my weigh I ccouldn't resist weighing again today.I tried to convince myself to wait till next week but ended up on the scale, so I guess I am also OCD in weighing.However ,I didnt record my new weight:)
