Getting back on track today. Did pretty well yesterday with food intake. Did have that second piece of pumpkin pie but did some additional clean up around the house today that involved lots of lifting, bending, pushing of heavy things and then got in a long walk after to loosen my stiff back. I couldn't stay in the house. After all, it's sunny and 50 degrees! Who knows if we will see another day like this :) There are some leftover food from Thanksgiving but not tons of them. Will let others eat most of that. I did have one last piece of pumpkin pie today but now I'm done. Won't be turning this into a four day food fest. Had one of those NSV moments today when out walking. The breeze picked up and I wanted to zip my stretch athletic jacket. Last year at this time, I had to suck in my stomach to zip that jacket. I was a bit in the zone mentally from walking very fast. In anticipation of zipping my jacket, I just breathed in hard and then realized I don't have to do that anymore. The jacket fits. I can even wear a bulky sweater and it zips easily. I've decreased my walk completion time by two minutes now. Each mile only takes me a little more than eleven and a third minutes. I can think of lots of other positive outcomes from the changes I've made since joining FS and because of the support I've received and the weight I've lost. These things make the decision to not have a foodie weekend an easy one for me. I might slide by this time but that would only plant a seed to keep trying it. Before I would know it, I'd be right back where I started. That would mean not only weight gain but all those NSVs that remind of the benefits of my hard work would also be gone. Simply not gonna happen ;)
