Finally, a break in the below zero temperatures today. Went for a walk in the snow at lunchtime. Felt desperate for outdoor exercise and fresh air after being cooped up. Four days of sub zero temperatures. Bundled up, got out there. 10 degrees, plenty of sun and no wind. The only person but was met by this lovely greeting in the snow. Peace. Yes, please! Emerging from a carbohydrate coma and trying to get back on track. Tweaked my food diary with healthier alternatives to stuffing, buttery mashed potatoes and dinner rolls. No issues with eating leftovers or holiday treats just not all in one day. Checking my settings in my food diary reminds me that portion control also matters. I had my fun! No regrets here but now it's time to set limits on the sodium, sugar and cholesterol filled concoctions I have on hand from the holiday.
