5/5 Fasting blood sugar 6.1 mmol/L
So what I thought was lasagna actually turned out to be my son's infamous Chili that I pulled from the freezer yesterday. I forgot about all the cheese he had put on it though. Just a tad too much for this Mom's body to handle....lol. But my numbers are good today so not complaining.
Not sure what will be on today's menu though. I'm basically down to boneless pork chops, ground beef and boneless/skinless chicken breasts. Oh, and plenty of bacon. Never can have too much bacon. And my Toppit's GF fish but don't feel like fish today.

Yeah, too early in the day to figure this out.
Think I will browse this weeks flyers and figure out where I am going shopping. Now that is a better plan...lol.

Food basics got some good deals on meats this week lol

The closest shop for me is Lady York Foods and then further out it would be Walmart & Metro (same plaza), Fortino's and No Frills. Food Basics is only when I am willing to travel the distance to get to it...lol. Lady York has pork chops on sale for $3.99 lb/$8.80 kg and Rea frozen sausages for $6.99 pkg of 4. Love the rosemary & garlic one for Rea and they are usually priced at $8.99. Metro seems to have some deals I can work with like 10% Lactantia cream is $1.99 for 1L which is the stock up price. Maybe tomorrow I will travel to Walmart/Metro/Dollarama and save Lady York for Sunday. Decisions, decisions...rotfl.

Lady York Foods is a premium store but not a part of the regular chained stores. A lot of their prices I would never pay but they also carry a lot of products that fit into my food lifestyle that I have trouble locating or have to travel far to get. The bonus for me is that it's just across the street and I can see it from my balcony :P.
