Can anyone help... I've lost 3 stone since I've been on the site, which I'm delighted about. but I've gone from being chubby, to being baggy! My skin isn't shrinking at the same rate as the fat. Will it sort itself out or is there something that I can do about it?

second samaddhhi, weights will help to replace the fat with muscle. But, depending on how fast you're losing the weight, you might need to tweak what you're doing to slow the loss so your body has more time to adjust to the smaller you too

First of all, congratulations on the weight loss! There are a lot of factors affecting the skin's ability to re- tighten up after weight gain/loss, eg the length of time the skin was stretched, age, speed of weight gain/loss. Skin becomes loose because the fibres have been strecthed and damaged and the skin can't retract as it should.
weight training will build muscle which in turn will support the skin and improve appearance, taking collagen, vit C, protein, omega 3 fatty acids and staying hydrated will help the skin repair. It is a slow process and the damage may mean that looseness is permanent then surgery may be considered.

Thanks guys, think I've lost the weight too quickly. And Samaddhhi, I'm a bloke. (Do man boobs count?) Thanks Anne, I'll look into the vitamins side of things but not vain enough to go under the knife.

It's early days then, Mutchie. The skin may be playing catch up. But some collagen and protein might help things along. Building some more muscle will help 'fill' the skin and improve blood flow which will also nourish the skin.

You can buy powder, liquid or tablets at Holland and Barrett. I sprinkle powder into my porridge.
