I'm home! Ah, the beach was great but it's good to be home! I had shrimp, lots of shrimp, some fried seafood platters! Funny how some people think that shrimp and lobster are rare items - living near the ocean my whole life, I don't really see them that way! No lobster though - I only like whole ones that have to be eaten by hand and I just didn't want that lobster stench on my hands for the week.
Tomorrow is my weekly weigh in - wish me luck! And then I have to start packing up some things so I can get the den redecorated. Got my younger daughter almost convinced to take the back bedroom which would get her to at least move her clothes if not clean them up!
I swam today in the Atlantic ocean today, paddling around with my brother's ex-girlfriend - the water was really NICE. We go to a beach called the Inkwell on Martha's Vineyard and the sand bar on the north side of the jetty makes a really warm spot in the water at high tide. What a gorgeous day today!
I think we'll have a barbecue tomorrow!

You guys are really making me hungry, I haven't eaten much today. I'm glad to hear you are back home safely. Hearing about all those Cape Cod seafood platters is almost as good as eating them myself (vivid memories). :-) Take care abba.

Beach holidays are my ideal dream holidays. What lovely places you can access, Abba! Nothing healthier than eating fish and swimming. Good on you!!!

Your Cape Cod weekend sounds like a blast! So glad you had a great time. Fresh lobster and shrimp can NOT be obtained where I live. These foods are - indeed - a rare treat for my husband who loves seafood. I DO like the melted butter in the little heated butter bowl - does that count? He-he-he-he-he-he! let's enjoy the rest of the weekend!
