feeling guardedly (?) optimistic- down 11.8 pounds since mid-April when I decided- finally- that I had to get a grip and take control of my weight. I've been here so many times before. I've got a new online support group (besides this one) and am determined to check in daily with them. I am weighing myself daily and trying my best to get my steps up to 10,000 at least 6 days per week. I'm eating at a calorie deficit. On Monday I have a doc's appointment to see about some foot surgery which I am afraid will sideline me all summer. That is a great anxiety since I depend on my walks (3-6 miles per day) to help with the calorie deficit.
