Not gonna lie, very hard not jumping on the scale this morning (going to wait a week).
So after standing in the aisle at Publix for about 15 minutes studying every bottle of coconut oil, I bought the Spectrum expeller pressed non-gmo organic coconut oil. (Do we really need so many choices? No wonder we are anxiety ridden). I always try to support U.S. product but forget trying to find coconut oil from where I live (South Florida)! Had to settle for Phillipines/Sri Lanka. Fine, whatever...
Anyway, about the oil, I thought it would be more oily. It semi-solid, I put a TB in a smoothie and I was very surprised, it didn't have a taste, wasn't oily and was nice and crunchy. Very interesting. Thanks for suggesting it Rckc!

I am not rude. You said you had a peek at her figures, and offered advice. Had you had half a moment to look you would see that FloridaAngel is a vegetarian who DOES eat butter, she just doesn't like veggies. So yet again, you presume things and give her advice which is contrary to her wishes and lifestyle. Even in the answer here you presume it is the butter she doesn't eat! Giving anyone advice which doesn't suit their lifestyle and diet approach, when it's so easily available? That's what I call rude.

it has to be VIRGIN, un refined to have the coconut taste and smell. they both work the same way, its just the VIRGIN taste better mostly if you are going to put in in your coffee to make bullet proof coffee. also try this on your face and in your hair. does wonders.

Sorry and my coconut oil is not crunchy????? it is just oil in a solid form like Crisco. shouldn't be crunchy.

Depends on the temperature. It melts somewhere in the 70's F. Yesterday it was warm - liquid. This morning I had to gouge out my tablespoon's worth in several tries. It had frozen on the counter.

Mine has NO taste at all. Thanks for the heads up on price but I refuse to shop at Walmart (BAD company). In hindsite, the crunchy may have been small pieces that solidified and I think the 2nd TB today was too much, I felt really sick and nauseous after it : (

I pay $18 for a 29oz jar of Spectrum at grocery store. If I go on Wednesday they have 10% off. Needless to say, I go thru a lot and I go on Wednesday!

I'm not sure what grocery stores you have but we have one called Frys part of the Kroger family and that's where I buy mine.
