maintenance. it is what it is. the excitement of the journey has subsided for quite a while now. now is the time of commitment to self through intrinsic motivation. the goal was not a number, or a clothing size, or anything like that. the overall goal was creating a new way of eating that i can sustain forever. and, yep, even 3 years into it..........this is barely the beginning.

I am about 35 years into my way of eating which was never about weight loss but about weight gain prevention.. it has been so worth it. Deprivation does not work, guilt does not work. Portion control, moderation and common sense are the winners.i eat three meals a day, seldom snack and have healthier eating habits most of the time and less healthy eating just once in a while. I can eat anything I want if I keep the overall goal in mind—

so true. people have said "i don't wanna be on a diet in which i can't eat XYZ". to which i reply - i can eat whatever i want. but I'M in CONTROL and I CHOOSE if i want to or not. treat day is on the day of my choosing.
