two more days and i will have to say good-bye to our Challenge of 5 carbs or less in 3 weeks...its been fun and I believe we have made progress...a few now want to stay with this keto type of eating...and that is great....there is a few rules to follow that cannot be broken...i hate rules but, in keto its a must...
If you can not or will not give up your bread, cakes, potatoes, fast food, and high carbs snacks, read no farther...This will not work for you.
RULES 1. Log in all the food you eat each day...don't be lazy...you need to know your macros. Weigh and measure all your food at the beginning...no Guessing. Don't break this rule. 2.Work hard to keep your ratio up to 75% Fat...20% Protein...5% carbs or less. keep working to get as close as you can....so very powerful at those numbers. but less than that you will still see some results.
3.Do not cheat, carbs are not our friend in this keto diet..If you cheat you will not succeed with keto. you will just waste your time...be serious about this diet. be honest with this diet for few days and your cravings disappear. learn the good oils and fats....what not to eat...keep studying the foods you can have....So many good veggies and meats.
4.Like i say if your have serious health issues stay with your doctors guidance. if dietary problems like diabetes, blood pressure need more energy,,,,there is hope for you. keto weight loss can be drastic with out hunger if you get close to the ratios within a couple days...
5. Change your pie shape RDI in your food log...do not use the amount it suggest...Cut it down 200 points each week till you see the weight loss daily you want. mine was 2000 kcals. now 1100 kcals....I live off of my fat reserves and that is what you want to do eventually...like a hibernating bear...i invite you to check my food log if you would like. as your knowledge builds you may get this low also...
6. if you have questions ask on FS and the people will be there to answer.
7. LCHF is exactly what it is...LOW Carb High Fat...Fat is your primary food...protein is to maintain your muscle mass and Low carbs is to heal the body and to stop making you gain weight. you don't need carbs for energy when in keto.
