Good morning world!

I can't believe my last journal entry was almost a week ago. Busy, busy week! It's all good though.

I had a good doctor's visit last week and we talked about the numbness in my foot and leg, he explained it as a compromise somewhere in my lower back, perhaps a bulging disc in the Lumbar area. I had an X-ray done, waiting to hear if he found anything from that. I also went to the Chiroprator last week and he did an adjustment on my hips, legs and back and that definitely helped. I will be going back next week, if I can afford it that is. Money is tight.

I picked up a freelance job last week doing an illustration for a book cover, will finish up with that this week and it appears he has more work for me after that. I get paid well for these and I want to market myself heavier so they are not so few and far between. It is my desire to somehow make a living doing this at least part of the time, I am just going where my heart leads me but also paying heed to all of the excellent skills I have learned in session over the past year. ONWARD!

On other artistic fronts of note was the Fall Festival in our historic downtown area. It ran Fri-Sun and I was there every day as a volunteer. I helped on several different things including traffic control during the break down of the show, most of my time was spent at the ticket counter which at times was crazy busy, but it was fun! I met some excellent people and made some good community contacts, including the woman who organized the voluteers. More on that laster. We were given free food and drinks but of course not a lot of healthy choices were available so I just did my best. I probably walked 4 miles each day going from place to place at the show so I definitely got my exercise in!

I skipped the gym this morning to allow my feet and other assorted body parts some much-needed rest. I'll get back to it tomorrow. Well I must get crackin' here so it's off to the drawing table!

Auntie - We realize you have had a lot going on, death in the family, etc. So, it is nice that you take time to visit us. Am so happy you've got that job. Someone as talented as you deserves it.

Thank you Buffy! The service for Larry is this Saturday and I also have to produce a short video and put together a printed handout for the service. I'll check in when I come up for air!
