I'm having a hard time getting back into exercise. I feel so tired all the time and now it's hot again outside. Maybe I'm still jet lagged. At least the diet part is going well. Funny thing happened at work, someone who really wants to lose weight asked for advice and she seems very determined. Lots of other people also want to lose weight but soon after saying it, they went straight for the cake someone had brought in. It's easy to tell who will be successful! I feel so much wiser around weight loss and motivation issues now. It all seems so logical and easy. I wish more people were taking care of their bodies, it's really not that hard.

Exercise is so difficult now the days are getting shorter. My gym is at the end of the garden with a tv in there but it is still difficult to make the move and go out into the 'middle of the night' You made me laugh at the office cake senario...I used to have huge problems walking past the (seems like weekly) birthday cakes brought in. I'm not sure how or why but they don't seem important any more. We had a bit of a birthday buffet the other day with some edam cheese and ham that I could allow myself, so I joined in and also grabbed some cucumber sticks as they were ok....then some one yelled 'that's my lunch!' we all laughed...well it was on the table! Try setting yourself a tiny bit of exercise, say only 15 mins. I find if I do this I usually get into it and do at least double, if I had set 30-40 mins I would have avoided it. Thanks for your support, it really helps. Have a great weekend XX

Lol...eating someone else's lunch! A colleague of mine would always steal some of my strawberries. He didn't know they were weighed and accounted for and that it would mess up my calories. Made me mad!! I will go for a walk now and if it's cooler later, do some step aerobics. The Wii will tell me off for not checking in for a few days...lol

When I was working (I was a Sales and management trainer) we used to have buffets bought in for the delegates. That was so hard to resist - lots of sandwiches, crisps, mini pastries, sausages and cake that you hadn't made or bought yourself. As I used to train on average 4 days a week it was a nightmare - especially when there was loads left over. Pleased I don't have that temptation anymore

Skinny...you'd probably be ok now because you know what's good for you. You would make the best choice in that situation. There is always cake or sweets in the office and months ago, I would eat it without thinking twice. But now it's easy to say no and I really mean it. I don't know who brings it in as they are all saying they need to lose weight. It's like wanting to win the lottery but not buying a ticket.

Hi Lara! im feeling the same way. im so very tired. I noticed we are at the same weight! I do manage to get a walk in but usually not every day. I am on split shifts so its hard to maintain a normal schedule for exercise. i do enjoy my walks do i look forward to them plus it makes me feel better about what im eating. Not that what i am eating is so bad its just sometimes i worry! Sometimes i get offered food at work by ppl...it is a very small work place....and i dont want to hurt their feelings but i usually eat the parts i can have and throw the rest away (sneaky like lol) i think most ppl have no idea how many calories are in what they are eating so dont realize they are offering you 2/3rds of your calorie intake for the day lol. So not worth it!
