Well yesterday I had a busy running around day, didn't get all of my calories in :( A friend made home made gumbo, more like soup with broth not really think, only had like 4 bites and only had the chicken and shrimp out of it, no sausage. I found myself a heart rate monitor and in true April style it was on CLEARANCE!! Also scored a sweet deal on BLSL Chicken Breasts so I stocked up. Going down to LA today for a women's convention should be fun, going to rack up some strides on my pedometer :) even though it's my rest day. Red team won the challenge and the weigh in!! I did a personal test and ran around my full block, I did have to stop a couple of times to catch my breath got home and realized I did it in 10 min. 30 seconds, which I wasn't too happy about, then I drove around the block to see how far it was and it was .9 miles so I felt a bit better :) Not the 6 min mile I would like though lol, but I know where I am at and that can be a daily challenge for me to improve my time, then I can start adding additional laps until I get to a 5k and then the sky is the limit. I have never been a runner so this is a good challenge for me. Ok, enough for today, make it a good one everyone!! :)
