Well, I have to say that I am feeling a bit low right now. I'm just a little depressed. I'm thinking it might be in part due to a lack of potassium/magnesium. I've been unable to take my supplements due to this ulcer. I'm afraid I'll make it worse.

I try hard to get better and I run into some obstacles that seem a bit cruel. I know that I can over come them if I just focus on it, but my initial reaction tends to be to throw my hands in the air and run for the hills. I'll fix this. It'll all get better. I just need to focus on the positives.

I've lost an incredible amount of weight. I managed to get rid of my hypertension and likely prevented myself from an eventual diabetes diagnosis I'd receive if I had continued on that path. I've got myself into a decent job and I'm making head way in putting my life back together after it all fell part a couple years ago. A lot of things could be better, but they could also be very much worse. I just need to keep pushing to reach those greener pastures.

My goals are to get my weight down to a comfortable 200. (I would like to at least temporarily breach into the 190s just to say I was in "onederland" just once lol.) All the while I'll work on becoming more fit. I know that eventually I'll need to have the scale start moving in the other direction to really put some muscle on, but I don't need to over do it. I need to do some more research before I go into "bulk" mode. I know an excess is required to really put on the muscle, but I'm sure there are smarter, more efficient ways that won't put on as much fat without reducing the muscle gains.

I want to be fit and healthy! I've never had that in my entire life, and my "prime time" is pretty much over. Need to get it there NOW. Want to live a long and healthy life with friends and family. That won'thappen if I don't keep making changes.

You will get there D1srupta, we all go through rough patches, you are on a great path and we are headed in the same direction...I want Onedrland too. We will share the road getting there, you got this!

A health challenge on top of the weight challenge can throw you under a bus, for sure. Has your Dr. looked into the bacteria that causes ulcers? H. Pylori....look into it.

So sorry to hear that you have an ulcer. Are you using bone broth? That should be soothing and healing. Your weight loss is super impressive. You are making wonderful progress. Hope you feel better soon.

I haven't tried any bone broth. I will add that to the to-do list. In this case the ulcer is not caused by H. Pylori but by a prescription medication that was prescribed for the pain caused by my curved spine. By the time I realized what was wrong it was too late. It has been weeks and it has only gotten worse. I've made some other changes that I'm hoping will make a difference. As it stands, it is not as bad as the other day. Still dealing with the black stuff, but maybe that'll get better. Got to keep with it. Listening to up lifting music while destroying, I mean cleaning my home. :D Perhaps excessive, but listening to this music while taking care of business can be uplifting.
