We've been back for a week now from the most amazing trip ever, and I missed it the second the plane backed away from the gate to come home. Pleasantly surprised by the drop because while Japan does have healthier eating habits than we do here in the US, I forgot about things like tempura and the sugared drinks available from the vending machines every 1/4 mile.
BUT! Tons and tons of walking may've helped! To put it in perspective, on days I go to work and hit the gym, I average 8,800 - 9,200 steps. I was averaging 15,000 - 20,000 a day over there. Japan also gave me renewed reason for this weight loss journey ----
