My calf is somewhat stiff. Trying my best to tread lightly on it.

Are you doing any stretching at all? If you would like some advise I'll tell you what I do for my dad's calf muscles (he is bed bound so stretching is very important)

Stretching is the one thing I do consistently. Whether or not I'm doing enough or the right ones are a matter for debate. I've got what feels to be a small hard knot in my calf muscle. I do try to gently massage it myself but it's sometimes to uncomfortable and I can't seem to work it out. I've also tried sitting with my legs stretched out on the ground and rolling the spot on a tin can as hard as I can stand it. Hot soaks seems to help it "relax" a little, it's still tender/sore. I'm not sure what the heck I've done.
