At a bar drinking the first of what is likely to be many beers for the weekend. It has been a hard week. It started Monday when I was informed by my therapist that tests confirmed I have Asperger's and then a storm dropping a tree on my car. So for this weekend, no checking blood sugar, blood pressure, calories, or sodium. I am on a break until Monday!

Ugh. I am hurting for you. Does insurance even cover falling trees?

So, it is Monday and I am back. My mini vacation from near obsession about my weight is now over and I am back to monitoring everything. I actually did not go that crazy over the weekend. After that first WONDERFUL beer, the second wasn't as tasty and I did not even finish it. The burger I got at the bar was good, but the turkey burgers on whole grain buns I make at home are just as tasty. I did enjoy the french fries however. Over the course of the weekend I ended up only eating a few items that I normally would not: Wendy's fries and frosty, 2 Easter peeps dipped in chocolate, one fried egg, and one birthday cupcake and 4 potato chips (that is 4 chips, not 4 bags, not 4 oz, 4 individual chips). That’s it. I planned on eating more junk but I did a pretty good job or eliminating junk food from my house so not to tempt me. Also, it just was not as enjoyable as I thought it would be. The chips were WAY too salty and the cupcake frosting was WAY too sweet. (The Frosty and fries however did a great job of counteracting each other's extreme tastes.) Now back to the real world. Gotta find the title on the destroyed car for the insurance adjuster to pay the claim. (Yes, LadyInDenium, insurance does cover that if you buy the comprehensive policy.) Time also to go back and enter my food diary for the weekend to see how much I ate (though I believe I still fell under my RDI). Lesson learned was, the three months of reprogramming my eating habits is paying off. Unhealthy foods I once found comfort in are not as appealing. I also learned that I can treat myself a little from time to time without fear of falling off the wagon completely. It’s going to be a better week!

Thank you for letting us know how your weekend went. It honestly helped me to read your experience. Glad you will get help outting your car to rights.
