Sunday, April 16 Steps = 19,254

Argh... We are going out to dinner tonight. I have only been to a restaurant 3 times since January 1st. It's Italian so hopefully I can get some seafood and grilled veggies. I'll need to watch portion size and skip bread. So glad we have included alcohol into our food plan. A couple glasses of wine out at a nice restaurant sounds good.

I shouldn't dread this so much. I keep saying that we need to continue to eat like this for the rest of our lives. I don't even mind it! I just worry about 'falling off the healthy wagon'.

Eat and enjoy, make good choices if you can but if you can't, ask for the to-go box early and pack half of it up to take home. I believe in eating healthier all the time but everyone needs breaks every now and then or you'll not just fall off the wagon, you'll feel like you got run over by it. Yes it's a lifestyle change but that doesn't mean you quit living. I hope you enjoy your evening!

Why not go for an hour-long walk at lunch today or after your dinner, and skip any snacks for a couple of days this week? There's always room for a restaurant meal if you remain flexible with the rest of your day.

Thanks for the comments. I took a look at the restaurant menu online and already know there are a couple healthy choices that sound really good. I think a walk after dinner sounds like a good idea too.
