I have almost reached my first goal of 160. That means I've lost over 80 pounds since my highest weight was 249.

As I near that goal mark, I have reassessed my target weight. Never in a million years did I actually believe that I would reach 160. Yes, you heard me right. I didn't even believe in myself. All those years of self doubt and loathing made me feel inferior.

Now that I've been so successful, I KNOW I can reach my goal, no matter what it is. I believe I will shoot for 145. That weight is just inside the range for a healthy BMI for my height.

I cannot wait to see what goal weight feels like!!! Then the real work begins. Learning to maintain that weight and not fall into bad habits again will take the rest of my life. Daunting and exciting at the same time.

That is so awesome! I started out at 232 and so far have lost 30 lbs. My initial goal is 165 lb. Your post is very inspirational to me because it makes me think that maybe I can do that too. maybe 165 isn't my stopping point. Maybe I can get lower too. Thank you for sharing!
