Making lemonade out of lemons:
So today my car broke down - looks like transmission stuff. So, I fretted and had it towed to the garage. It may be covered under warranty. Then, I hopped an Uber and went to work because I had to teach a night class.
After class, I lamented about how to get home: Uber, call friend, wait for bus because I live a few miles from work.
Then I thought hey, I just lost 50 pounds - start walking and see how far you can go! Something I never would have thought last year when I was 314 pounds. Well, heck I walked about half the way and felt great! What an accomplishment!!
So I Ubered the last 2 miles but I felt happy about two things. One I had a different mindset and two I stopped whining and started doing. What a great feeling. Yes, country boys can survive :)
