Well, I don't believe in New Year's resolutions, but I have a few things I'd like to accomplish. 1. Come up with some exercise routine, time seems to slip away from me (even retired) and I usually end up sitting down at night looking over my meals for the day and realizing I didn't exercise. I'd do it first thing in the morning, but the Mother and hubby sleep late. I try when they wake, but the dog/cat don't leave me alone. If I'm on the floor - apparently it's play time. We have a gym as part of the community, but I'm still too inhibited and think people will stare at the fat girl trying to exercise. Yes, I know I should get past that, but I can't right now. I used to go for walks, but 4 or 5 degrees in the morning - I ain't going out there!! lol 2. Continue my Keto journey. I'm off insulin and healthier then I've been in years. 3.PURGE - purge my life of things. I want to get rid of all the cloths "I might need again". In the past if I went on a "diet" I kept them in case said diet didn't work. I've lost over 40lbs for the first time in my life. I don't want to think of going back to that weight. My Mother, ever supportive (not!) says I'll probably give up and go back, so hang on to them. I want this year, this WOE, this me to be different! So, I head upstairs now to rid myself of the 3X/4X cloths. I used to be a 26/28, now I'm a 20! Yes, I can fit into size 20!! Nothing has ever worked for me like this WOE. 4. Lastly, I want to move. My husband and I have talked about moving to New Hampshire for years, "when we retire" we keep saying. Well, we've retired and I want to find a ranch home with lovely views to live out the rest of my time with him. I am tired of getting up and seeing houses for as far as the eye can see. I want trees, a pond or stream, I want a spot for a garden, etc. I'm not allowed to grow a garden here, HOA doesn't allow it. My neighbor planted 1, yes 1 tomato plant and was sent a letter to remove it, gardens aren't allowed. I kid you not. I retired thinking I wouldn't live long because of the diabetes and my family history. Loosing the weight, getting off insulin and blood pressure pills has given me so much hope! I feel like my life isn't over, but just beginning. :-) I wish everyone else the same good fortune with their journeys!!
