An Eye-OpeningExperience!
Gotta say, I'm lovin my fitbit! I'm finding out how many hours I'm "actually" sleeping at night and can more accurately follow my calorie burn through the day. I also don't have to get out of my jammies nor put on my shoes to use a pedometer which is a plus when I've just rolled out of bed.
The sleeping function is eye-opening which I posted about here on the fibit group. I think I've answered the question as to one of the main reasons I generally feel like crap. I know I get unrefreshing sleep on a regular basis. That's a given but I really didn't know that I also get very little sleep after I close my eyes. So far, I'm not even hitting 6 hours on any regular basis. Last night I hit less than 4. That's not very much when considering the unrefreshing sleep aspect and pain issues. I'm thinking now maybe I should cut myself a "little" slack as I tend to expect more out of myself on any given day. I'm thinking maybe I should start practicing a little more kindness towards myself.
From a health standpoint, I think the fitbit is one of the best investments I've made on this journey. One I do not regret.
As for my friends here on FS, let's all try to practice a little more kindness to ourselves.

Ruby, the Fitbit is a wonderful tool. I love mine, and you are right...we do need to try to practice a little more kindness to ourselves. Hope that the sleep gets better soon! Hugs and lots of love, my friend! <3
