Hi FS Buds!
I did well last night - no binge eating! I went to my workout today and now I'm at work waiting for our 10" of snow to fall. Should be good when I get out of work! I messed up today with my insulin. I think I need to be a little more careful. Since I went on low carb and fasting I don't need as much insulin.

I have a tendency to check my blood sugar about an hour after I workout and eat breakfast b/c my blood sugar is usually way too high right after I workout. My understanding is this happens from the adrenaline response, which tells the body to release stored glucose. The glucose stays in my bloodstream rather then being delivered to the muscles b/c my insulin resistance. Since I know this happens I wait an hour for it to go down and then take the reading b/c if I am normally 120 and post-exercise it is 160 and I take insulin for 160, my bs will go down too far.

Today it was 135, which isn't very high. And typically when it's 135 I take 20 units. Well after about 20 minutes I got sweaty and shakey - darn thing went down to 45. I had to drink a bunch of OJ and eat some stuff and darn thing is only 62 now. I HATE when this happens b/c the last thing I want to do is eat a bunch of sugar to bring it back up.

I gotta figure something else out I guess. Maybe change the type of insulin I am on.
