I am nearly 66 and a great grandma. I am living in Hawai'i right now with my daughter and her husband and family. They are dual military so I am their family plan and I get to be full time grandma when they deploy. When I am not with them, I live in Florida. I was born in Minnesota, which is a great state to be from, and am still a rabid Vikings fan. I got to go to the Pro Bowl here in Hawai'i this year and it was awesome. What fun.
I was a jock in highschool, but later got a lifestyle change including getting older (no sissy thing that) and with the lack of exercise and cooking for a family, I wound up gaining.
I do have the best family in the world, of course with 5 kids and 5 grandkids and now a great granddaughter whom I have not gotten to see or hug yet.
I love doing crafts, writing and drawing, Knitting and crocheting, and like swimming, walking, and am really enjoying working with free weights and on resistence machines. That was a surprise to me. I miss going to the gym when I don't get to go.
Unfortunately, I absolutely love to bake. Have had to put a lid on that one for a while. I didn't bake anything that wasn't loaded with calories. Love cooking too, and am learning to make healthy, good for us, foods.
I like doing volunteer work when I can, and was a CPR Instructor for the Red Cross. Am working on getting my Disaster Training Certification so with that, losing weight, and getting in good condition, I can go to help when natural disasters strike. That is one of my life goals.
