So I am a baker that loves sugar...hahaha ...and that wants to lose weight. I own and run and bake in my own small organic bakery /cafe in the sierra foothills....well I'm also a wife of a farmer or I should say we share the farming I take care of the milking goats, chickens and tending the flowers and he does the rest with all the other rows of veggies and fruit trees. Last year Feb 2016 I gave birth to our first child a beautiful daughter and I put on WAAY more than the 30 lbs they recommend but eating all that good food was fun. Getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight of 125-130 after gaining 60 lbs and getting back into shape after being on bed rest for the last two months of my pregnancy which zapped my athletic skills is a big goal. As a former runner in my 20's ran boston marathon 2 times I am looking forward to completing at least a half marathon again some day . Going mostly meatless and enjoying the produce of our heirloom garden , meat that my husband and I raise which will be small amounts of goat, sheep and chicken on specials occasions . Keeping heathy is the main goal. Trying to maintain some kind of routine is a challenge and Exercise everyday is at the top of my list of must do. Kicking that sugar habit would be great too. So the SNAFU of my life is that in my teens and early twenties I struggled with sever eating disorder issues. All the gaining of weight for pregnancy at first I thought was going to be hard. Because of many years of intense work & therapy pregnancy weight gain wasnt the scary part, the scary idea has been how am i going to lose this weight and do it responsibly enough to breastfeed my daughter for at least 18 months and not starve myself or fall into old patterns of thinking and behavior. So at 39 years old this is all about loving life all the way no matter what happens and some how kicking that sugar craving.
