A lifetime of childhood obesity haunted me from ages 7 - 18 and at my heaviest I was 240lbs.

I identified that my problem was associated with sugar and carbs (of all types), even when eating low gi, wholegrain and healthy carbs I would find myself unable to stop eating, craving non stop and my appetite was endless, I literally ballooned when they were on the menu.

In 2011 I discovered the world of low carb and immediately I managed to control my appetite and kill all cravings and endless eating. Since then I have lost 60lbs on two separate occasions, after going back to carbs and pilling on the pounds for various personal reasons.

Having come from being an extremely heavy weight, even after dropping 60lbs, I still find myself with disproportional levels and areas of body fat compared to the regular male, and still dont have total lean-ness.

I made the mistake of excluding weight lifting from my journey and I have been left at a fairly light weight, with little to no lean body mass (muscle)and still holding a moderate level of bodyfat.

My goal now (September 2015) is to give my body a small surplus of calories and attempt to slowly put on much needed muscle mass which will hopefully assist me in finally becoming lean.

I follow a standard keto diet of 65% fat, 30% protein, 5% carbs and eat 1800-2200 calories per day.
