Got home last night from spending a week with my Mom. She is out of rehab, but can't walk alone, so needs someone with her all the time. My brother and sister that live near her have had the total responsibility because of all the issues in my life. So I finally got to take my turn with her. It went pretty well, but I sure don't like being the parent to my parent! She wants to get better, but doesn't want to do the work to get there. Very frustrating.I will go back in 2 weeks. Hubby is doing better very slowly. Still limps badly, but no pain so grateful for that. My doctor increased my antidepressant and that seems to be helping with the debilitating grief I was experiencing over losing my beloved sister. When I went to the doctor my tests showed my hemoglobin was really low, so I have gone to the hospital once a week for iron infusion. Had the last one yesterday, I'm supposed to have lots more energy. I'm still waiting!! I went to a Women's Day this morning and the speakers were very good. It was nice to spend the morning with my sisters in Christ. I had dessert....I'm so weak! No wonder I'm up 2 more pounds.

I am so very sad. My beloved sister passed away on Valentines Day. She has been so sick for so long her poor body was just overwhelmed by the infection that caused her pneumonia. She was a strong Chrisian woman, so I have no doubt she is in Paradise with her Savior and was greeted by her parents and other loved ones who were waiting for her there. So my tears are for me, and I can't wish her back. But I just don't know how to navigate in a world without her in it. Pray for her boys, and other siblings and friends. She was so loved by so many,

What a week! Hubby developed an abscess at the site of his back surgery that was done last month. We got home from the hospital yesterday. We were there for 8 days and he had 2 surgeries. Now he has a PICC line and we have to trek 17 miles to the local hospital every day for 6 weeks of IV antibiotics. It's been way to stressful!! So thankful we got to the hospital just in time and abscess hadn't ruptured yet. My mom was back in the hospital with pneumonia but got released a couple of days ago. My sister is improving slowly and remains in the hospital. This wasn't how I planned to lose a few pounds, but here we are! I would like to get down 5 more pounds, but more normally I hope! My mom is some better, transferring from rehab to skilled nursing today. I'm not happy about this, darn insurance rules our lives. Hubby is slowly improving. Overdid it yesterday and is paying the price today. Sister was some better yesterday, not good but better. On Sunday I thought she was going to die. I cried all the way home and half of the next morning. All that accomplished was giving me a headache. She has been my best friend my entire life. She has to get better. Venting today. Thanks for listening.
