I am getting conflicted on the "old" Atkins vs the "new" Atkins. My sister and I just don't seem to be able to lose much on the "new" Atkins, even in the induction phase with only 20 grams of carbs a day. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have fallen off the wagon due to a personal crisis, but want to get on the plan again.

I got through a birthday and did pretty good sticking to my diet, only had a couple of glasses of wine. Since then I am 100% I am also walking a lot, so expected more of a loss. I have gone over my food journals and can't see I am missing something. Hopefully, I will have a breakthrough soon.

I feel I have been following the diet, and not losing at the rate that I should! Maybe I am remembering when I was on this diet YEARS ago and lost weight quickly. Again, that darn slow metabolic slow down that comes with age. We are in the middle of our serious rain season so I am not walking as I would like. I just have to remember that ANY weight loss is a good thing.

I was on Atkins years ago and lost weight easily and found it easy to follow. I recently visited the Atkins website and found it is now much healthier, incorporating a lot of vegetables from day one.
