Hello!
Last week's fasting helped break the stall (gain) I was on. It put me back into ketosis and the weight I had gained with "lazy keto" starting dropping again. I am thrilled to be back on the losing side as far as the scale goes - I had never stopped losing inches; but I still want to win that battle with the scale. That damned scale. Funny how a number there affects my self worth.
I am 12 hours deep into my second 48 hour fast. It seems much easier this time and not so daunting. I am better prepared, though. I already know what I am fixing for the family tonight when I can't eat; plus, I already know what I have to break the fast. I have planned a pork roast to break the fast tomorrow night. It will be soooo tasty.
So, fasting. I didn't really like it, but the benefits are bringing me right back again this week. I already noticed an improvement in my loose skin. Crazy, I know; but it is true. It is measurable, too. My kids were shaming me over my baggy pants, so I had to get "new" pants on Saturday (I am a thrift shop person so that I can manage all the sizes I have been through on this journey). Victories all around!
Here is to the next round of baggy pants shaming!! Bring it on!
