Finally back in Melbourne with scales I trust.
TBH I’d expected to be in the mid-80s given how I’ve been eating, so to be the same number I was last time I weighed in in Melbourne is a pleasant surprise.

from my limited experience they eat alot healthier in Asia then western countries.
more fruit and veg, leaner meats, alot better cooking methods. portion sizes are through the roof though hahahahaha

depends on which Asian country you are talking about. In China they eat a lot of pork, use a lot of oil and a lot of sugar. Also they eat all the time. The typical image of skinny Chinese person is a long gone stereotype. Obesity rate is increasing dramatically.

Yeah, my husband and I were disappointed that he had a severe lactose reaction from a Thai curry recently in Sydney. My Indonesian friend tells me that a lot of condensed milk is used in South east asian dishes to make them creamy and silky. No surprise that the Thai food was so sweet as well!

Agree about Thai food. Savoury dishes are too sweet. One of the reason I am not a fan of Thai food.

I stay away from sauce/creamy dishes in general, the dry noodle dishes and stirfrys where great alot better then you buy here.
They do add sugar to everything drink wise for sure though
