l have always been able to manage my weight by being in the military if I needed to loose 5 or 10 lbs it was no problem. But now I just can't get it off unless I don't eat literally. I don't want to do it like that. I want to manage my weight and eat like a normal human! No dieting just keep my calories down and keep my body moving everyday. Why can't I make this lifestyle change work for me?

Hang in there and hey, you lost 3 lbs 🤗 how is your water intake? When my intake is good I drop pretty nicely, but I need to step it up again. Do you keep track of your food with logging?

Thanks for your support! I am strict about logging in everything that I eat. I always stay below my recommend calorie allowance. I must have to increase my water intake and increase my workout days. I want give up!!

Of course ☺️☺️ Yes definitely try that! Especially if you’re good with logging. I’m a big logger too. Sometimes the body just plateaus too. Yes don’t ever give up!💪💜💚

Might try some nutrient dense foods: ie : veggies, fruits, whole grains, legumes, lean proteins and healthy fas. You need to feed your body with healthy foods to lose and be healthy.

Add a little movement; like parking farther away from your destination and walking. Or taking the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator. After a meal, don't sit; go for a 10-15 min walk to rev up that metabolism. It's the little things that can add up.

It just sounds as if you stalled or plateauing, perhaps making other changes( small ones) and shaking up your routine a bit will make a difference, just keep going eventually it will start coming off, and be kind to yourself, each day is a new beginning. Sending you the very best wishes and luck.

Age does bring some difficulties with weight loss. For me, I didn’t get a handle on myself until I was 70. At 230 pounds ( 2011)! I was gifted the book Good Calories,Bad Calories by Gary Taubes. It was an inspiration and remains an inspiration as I near 80. It helped me a lot to break down the actual science of weight loss. Hang in there one day at a time.
