Let this be a lesson...
DO NOT fall off of a roof. It’s not all that fun. I mean, I know it sounds cool, but it’s kinda painful. Yep, braces on both upper legs and a brace around back for spinal support. This may actually hinder my workouts but not my woe. So cup half empty, cup half tears sort of deal. I actually was in pain and laughing at myself in the ER. How could I not?! I think I injured myself to support Erq. I didn’t want her to be the only one who hurt herself. Just thinking of you, dear lady. I’m just gonna roll with that excuse. Solidarity. 🙌 Lol
So what positive(s) can I take away from this? A few, actually!
1. My kids think it’s super cool that I remind them of an Avenger.
2. I fell AFTER I removed the heavy branch from my roof. My husband was super frustrated that I didn’t have him do it. (I did it while he was at work).
3. It could’ve been way worse.
4. The nurse in the ER (I was there 12 hours) went and bought me a Pumpkin Spice Latte! It was so sweet and totally unexpected. She said it was a thank you for being so patient (ha) and nice even with having to wait. ER was kinda full. She said I was the nicest person she had all day. That made me feel good. They have a hard job.
5. The braces were a small/medium. They brought in a medium/large and the doctor said it was way too big. Hey, that’s a cool NSV.
6. I’m weighting at 148 with clothes and braces on. 😬 I already know it means I’m still losing a small amount or, at very least, maintaining.
