Beautifully done! I am the same when weighing once a week. I end up being super inconsistent and starving to make up for it as "weigh in day" draws near. Much of the food I make is a guess for calories. I find something close and call it good. As long as you are going the direction you want, you have done it just right for YOU! 😁

CC, are you cooking just for yourself or for others as well. I try to log my ingredients for my meals as I prepare. If I can separate foods I know will be eaten by me alone (like salads, pieces of meat) I weigh it & log. If it's a dish I measure individual ingredients then devide by servings. That's easier for me cause I'm cooking for 2. It may not be totally accurate but you'll be close.

Congratulations on another loss, CC! ❣️
I estimate calories for my home cooked meals - either I type in ingredients individually fir the entire recipe ( then change serving size based on how many servings I made) or I search for the store/ prepared/ restaurant version & pick the middle range or the highest calories. Neither method is exact & there are some sticklers who would insist I’m doing it wrong *but* it works for me... so throw something in there & keep on going.

Good loss! I separate by ingredients. Like burritos tonight are ground beef, peppers & onions, salsa, ole tortilla, all counted separately. 🍀

Yay! Nice drop Cutey! 💪💜
It's hard for me to log meals I cook for my family of six, but when I cook for just myself I just measure everything. I want a scale so I can get it down to the gram. I just haven't found one yet.

Scanning packages and cans with the phone app helps some.

Amazing! I was wondering how many calories do you eat because I’ve noticed that every time you update your weight you lose 2 pounds 🤩🤩

For those of us who are home cooks logging food that we make from scratch or leftovers is a PIA. Sometimes I just don’t log it. I’m not here for weight loss purposes but just to monitor my nutrition so it’s not that crucial. I’m a portion control person. Regardless, I can look at a meal and determine if it is a satisfactory serving size to meet my needs. Otherwise I sometimes just find a similar product or soup or whatever and use it as a point of reference. If my food log indicates an item from a restaurant that would be me just trying to make do.

Even if you can perfectly record the nutritional content of a dish, there are always some differences.
Therefore, the numbers in the nutrition composition table are guidelines.
It is recommended to collect data on the pattern of the effect of diet on body weight.
As the number of data increases, your meal will be closer to completion.✨

Agree on PIA for scratch cooking which is 90% of my intake. Instead of not logging, I pick something similar that FS has. Less work and provides datapoint if I stray. Just my approach.
