Radiology Technology week has come and I caved. I will now own that. I gave in to white sugar, white bread, preservatives and the like, although I did not over eat. I am very glad about that. Gained a couple of pounds just in the last few days, after I was doing so good and actually dropped another pound. Oh well, live and learn. I will take the next few days to get all that junk out of my system and will probably feel better by tomorrow. I must say I was surprised at how bloated I felt last night. The congested gunky feeling and the feeling of heaviness I had was a great reminder of why I made changes in the first place, but the abdomen thing, oh my goodness! I looked like I was 6 mo pregnant!! Overall I just felt awful. So I must remember this experience. Fortunately this happened just BEFORE the holidays so it will be fresh in my mind and hopefully it will propel me through Thanksgiving and Christmas and on into the next year. Seeing the Doc in 3 wks and was hoping to be down to about 132 which would have been only another 3 lbs since I actually hit 135 last Sunday and that would have meant a loss of 20 lbs since the last time I saw him a year ago. Bummer!! Well, we shall see. I'm not going to kill myself to hit that goal cause that would prove to be counter productive. Today and tomorrow will be green juice/smoothie and veggie days to get this junk out of my system, but then will resume my normal way of eating. In the long run this is the best strategy. Permanent lifestyle changes. I'm in it for the long haul. Health and wellness is the goal.
