👏🏼👍 Time to reset that goal to 190 in your settings before you blow right past it 😄👁️🏆

I'm honestly just enjoying the process. I could stay here and be fine... I feel great. Everyone keeps saying I'm looking really solid. Most of the guys think I'm heavier just based on how well my shoulders look. It's fascinating and fun to be smaller but actually look larger. Who knows I'm just having fun and enjoying life. We shall see where she takes me.

Right, but you're never going back to 225 lbs. like your FS goal is set to, are you? (please say no)

Again, here is JB thinking they know what is best for everyone else...my heart hurts when I read your posts. Insensitive to fellow humans.

225 lbs. for someone 6'0" tall is a BMI% of 30.5 = Obese. Why on earth would anyone encourage obesity? FS is where we cheer on weight loss and strive for health. Great job, Joe -- you're setting a great example for those that want more for themselves than illness.

JB - Joe's goal weight is NONE of your business. THAT is my point. You opinions are unsolicited. Telling him to reset his goal to 190 is NOT your business. Just.Stop.IT. I know I can scroll by and ignore it, but I see it often and fat-shaming is not allowed on this site.

HCB, if you had bothered to read any of Joe's previous journals, you would know about the 190 lb. goal he wrote about. No one is fat shaming. I am fat loss and goal encouraging. If Joe dislikes my comments on HIS journal, he will tell me so.

HE told you to back off in a nice way. "'m honestly just enjoying the process. " But you then shamed him about going back to 225...

I'm that height and 188lbs. So, yeah, 225lbs is a lot of weight. My highest was 212lbs. I think 225 lean is out of reach naturally at 6ft unless you have outlier genes.

Is it news to anyone that body mass index or BMI is a —very— obtuse metric that’s more suited to the toolbox of nutritional epidemiologists? You could be 225#@6ft and come in at a portly 35% BF, looking like you have a basketball under your shirt, or you could be absolutely shredded on a bodybuilding stage at 3.5% BF at that weight and height. I too am 6ft, and back in my 20’s, I was once 207# with a 10.5% BF (by DEXA scan), and 10.5% isn’t —anywhere— close to a men’s bb cut. Now mind you I was grabbing a lot more weight then, and eating a completely different diet that would probably stress my liver if I did it for too many years. But, my point is, people are built differently, and they have different dietary & athletic lifestyles. Some who work with their body are better protected from industrial injuries by packing plenty of muscle. If you have a naturally mesomorphic build, you enjoy grabbing heavy weight at the gym, and are into that dietary lifestyle, then don’t let —anyone—- else peer pressure you or body shame you into moving the milestones on YOUR health journey. I would be especially skeptical of vegans who seem more motivated by ideology than human health. BMI? Gimme a break; even Neil Barnard, when pressed at a lecture Q&A would admit the limits of its utility.

He BMI was created to be a quick and easy tool for assessing basic nutritional status in places like 3rd world countries where electricity and all the fancy do dads we have access to we’re not available—- think tribes of Africa. It was never meant to be an assessment for people who are building muscle, athletes, etc. there is nothing wrong with using your own preferred method and SKIP the BMI. Good late night reading available on this subject.
