I hope by the 1st I will be down a little for my official 2024 starting weight. Still drinking coffee for the next few days. Trying it with a little less sugar this morning. The plan for today is,to make the Asian chicken salad with breast meat, mandarin oranges, won ton strips, chopped walnuts and Ken's Steakhouse Asian dressing. Oh, and I guess some lettuce. Will make chili tomorrow or Friday which should be rainy days

I know you said you'd be giving up coffee to reduce sugar. I enjoy mine too much (2 mugs each morning) & don't like black coffee either. I drink mine with a little stevia & 2 measured tbsp. of no sugar flavored creamer....currently using caramel macchiato. You can find a flavor you like....vanilla, mocha, hazelnut, etc. It's only 15 calories per serving. Just a thought, since you said you enjoy a hot drink in the morning.

Thanks Morticia! I'm going to have a non toast breakfast, a hard boiled egg, a slice of cheddar cheese (less than an ounce), 3 or 4 olives and 10 or so raw almonds. Need to get some fruit for breakfasts, grapefruit or cantaloupe or berries

Thanks Sherry. I'm trying to reduce the sugar in a mug of coffee. Tomorrow I will try measuring one teaspoon and if I'm okay with that will try 1/2 teaspoon. I'm okay with half and half for now since I buy a quart to share with the stray kitty I've bee feeding for 3 years. After I move I will look into creamers.

Thanks Liv! The salad was great. Didn't realize there was only enough of the lettuce mix left for one salad. Still have half the chicken breast left. Guess I'll freeze it until I make the salad again. Won't go back to the grocery store until sometime next week. I plan on cooking the chili tomorrow in the crock pot.

I am now drinking coffee with 0 sugar. It's taking some getting used to, even though I used only like a 1/2 tsp, but I am determined. My blood sugar was up, so 0 sugar for me.

Thanks Joanie! I am going to try coffee with 1 teaspoon of sugar, that's only 4 grams of carbs. Hope I like it. I don't have a problem (yet) with blood sugar but I aim to keep carbs below 100 A day.
