Update: I didn't make my weight loss goal before turning 50, but I had a damn good year of traveling and started the best job of my life! I got my passport and left the U.S. for the very first time. The trip was to Munich, Germany, and I experienced my first Oktoberfest; Salzburg, Austria; Vienna, Austria; and Budapest, Hungary. We all kept track of steps. In 10 days, we walked 40 miles and too many stairs, but I lost 15 pounds. Since I was last on here, I broke with the yard work routine, started eating out too often, and took around a year to check back in with my nephrologist. It was so hard to start up again, but here we go! I started by drinking more water, eating smaller portions, and eating at home more often. This week, I added the gym. It was my first week back to the gym since the Europe trip, and I had to push myself to walk at the slowest pace ever for 60 minutes. When did walking become so hard? But that's ok. The treadmill WILL be my new best friend. We're bonding. I can feel it.

It sounds to me like you should just travel full time, weight loss and have a great time, just work remotely.
