It took a lot of self control yesterday to stay under my 1000 calories - sadness and not drinking enough water early enough in the day got me into a hungry state. I haven't been hungry at all for a couple of weeks, but yesterday was not pretty. I managed to pull it out though. I also think I've been calling things "tablespoons" that are much less than tablespoons. I measured an actual tablespoon of olive oil yesterday and it is a lot more than I have been "eyeballing". More measuring from now on to be more accurate, though I guess overestimation is better than underestimation.

Personal note: I queried out my novel to agents a week ago. I don't expect to hear great things but it would be nice to see something positive happening in my life. Loads of job interviews and scheduled follow-up job interviews. I can't help but feel that I'm not supposed to be here - that we should still be in Asia and still be happy. You can't make people love you though and you can't fight their fears for them. I think about holding his hand under the pillow at night and I miss him; not the him he is now but someone I haven't seen for a very, very long time.
