MightyFull's Notizen, 29 Jul 15

Good morning! I woke up at 5:23am. My alarm was set for 5:30am. God is good - all the time. I got up and hopped onto the elliptical this morning, and knocked out 40 minutes of workout and 15 minutes cool down. Plus warm up and cool down exercises -- as I was sweating and completely red faced. The heart monitor on my elliptical apparently has a short in it, as it was registering 74bpm (example) when I had my hands on the monitor sensor, and 168bpm when I wasn't touching it. Hmm. Figured there must be a short somewhere. Will try to repair - if not will get a heart monitor to wear. (Just looked on line - a tad more pricier than I imagined...will need to wait on that!)

Today the This is NOT a challenge (2) starts with Goals - Occasionally ask: "What is the connection between what I want most in life and anything I plan to do today?" - Robert Brault, rbrault.blogspot.com. Pretty effective quote - can be related to anything, however, I'm putting it towards my health. For the fact that I still don't have a crazy appetite helps. I did branch out and have a small banana and some frozen yogurt (Activia blueberry) with my 5 saltines this morning. Tummy still upset...however, I wanted more protein than I've been allowing myself. We'll see how that works.

THIS was the song that was stuck in my head this morning -- the chorus, of course! I haven't even heard it lately (not that I remember). Sang it taking the dog out, sang it in the shower, sang it getting dressed, sang it making breakfast....just kind of took over!

Here's the song I think about when I'm on the elliptical: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BsTF22SPyM
It Keeps You Running -- The Doobie Brothers
Literally this is about the starting pace I have when I start out. The chorus is where I stay -- I eventually work up to a faster pace or make it more challenging for myself through resistance and/or incline.
(playing it in the background..makes me want to hop back on the elliptical! HA!)
