Two meals out, only one fast day, munched my way through half a plate of goodies, and still lost a little. Interesting! I think even on my 'bad' days I am not entirely losing control, and am making choices. And I am keeping up the exercise, so still ended up with a small calorie deficit over the week. Logging everything is definitely working for me, ask the support I get here, of course. Thanks, buddies!
Four more days till Christmas Day. Today and Thursday should be fast days, tomorrow and Wednesday normal days, probably with a few treats thrown in. Friday we go to stay in a hotel with some of Mike's walking buddies, some of whom are also my friends, for two nights. It's a small hotel in the mountains, not far from here, and is noted for its food. I don't intend to miss out. I'm also thinking 'beer'. Haven't had one for months. Hope I still like it, lol!

I found that despite not keeping a journal regularly for a while, I know when I have been overindulgent.
I am waiting until after Christmas since I know for a fact I have nothing in the food cupboard that is too high in calories, it is just a matter of not stuffing myself.
Exercise is what is called for and a walk to the pub is a good idea, as I have not had a pint in ages. although I do tend to tipple the wine. As far as calories go, I would expect the wine will be the main culprit for me, as I have bought in some very nice Calvet Sauternes and some Cab Serv. hic

I think that varying food and calorie intake over the week helps with weight loss . Well done! And no doubt you will have a couple of walks in the mountains so you will burn off any excess calories :)

Great going Heidi. ..always nice to see some come off even if you have indulged..I m trying best not to eat to much to the build up...so 5 : 2 is at 4:7 ... lol...i think ur doing the right thing by recording. .helps a lot. Just found a butcher does 99% fat free sausages. ...but you can only bake which I will do buy wrapped in nice bacon. ..got a few more gym sessions. .but non for Xmas and boxing day....problem a little something sneaky walk and a bit of jumping up and down...might keep weight at bay.

Thanks all for your encouragement. And well done Glen on your diet Coke. I do that sometimes. If I can manage to order one, I'm set for the night. I water it down, and make it last a long time! However it's surprising how often I want to say 'diet Coke', but the words 'white wine' come or of my mouth instead! Jbonly, your sausages wrapped in bacon sound nice!
