I am not losing weight as fast as I would like because I haven't been able to change my diet enough to get lower than 1800 - 2000 calories a day. I know that one pound a week is good and healthy but I have a lot to lose. I am working on moving more and hope to add water aerobics this summer. I also need to start planning meals better so that I am not eating as many convenience foods. I have been practicing portion control but I need to eat more veggies and salads and less fried and pre-packaged junk. Did good last night though. I made a roast but filled my plate (a smaller 8 inch round rather than the bigger dinner plates) with broccoli, cauliflower and baked asparagus with a 4 oz portion of meat and just a spoonful of potatoes. The pizza on Friday night tasted good but I noticed that it left me feeling still hungry. Not enough fiber and protein I guess.

Sounds like you have a lot of good ideas. Planning will help you. If I can plan my meals for the week, I find it is a lot easier to actually stick to that plan and not let my kids convince me to order pizza! Also, you have good food around to eat rather than junk. Good luck to you!
