Well, it's been the craziest of weeks. I went to training on a military base, so I couldn't cook my own foods. I thought for sure I'd come back heavier. My sugars were a little higher then they were at home. The breakfast was easy, bacon/sausage and eggs. The first lunch, I thought I'd get a wrap and just eat the meat - there was not a lot of meat, I'm glad I had a bag of Quest chips with me. Then I got smarter and had the cheese burger (1/2 lb) and salad. Both tasty and filling, not to mention cheap. Most dinners we went off base, I met a good friend and did indulge myself, not only did I have eggplant parmigiana, but a Long Island Ice tea too. It was fun to hang with her and I felt real good. Almost like a real person enjoying my food and friend. I think the saving grace was the distance (and long flight of stairs) the room was from the class room and walking after class each night. They had an elevator, but I didn't take it, not one day. The grounds were lovely and the weather was great. When I stepped on the scale this morning I was a nervous wreck - just knew I didn't do something right and was going backward - when 250.8 popped up, 3lb drop, I also screamed. :-) Still going in the right direction. Yippie!!
