The holidays really did me in, and they are not over yet. Family arrives tomorrow - a time for fun and celebration. When will I hit my bottom? This next week will be very difficult, but I will try to at least eat a good and approved breakfast. Does anyone out there have tips for restraining oneself at celebrations?

Visualization helps me. I try to imagine how each food I want to eat will make me feel 2-3 hours after eating it. So if it's a burger, I'll feel heavy, but if I eat a salad, then I feel light and comfortable. Hope this helps.

I rely on shame and self loathing, but there is probably a better way. :-) Honestly, I failed miserably this Christmas, but I am sure like most things, we need to concentrate on the actions we are taking at the current moment and how they are affecting our long term goals. Looks like you did well, only up three pounds, and I am sure salt was an issue>>>>?
