It's really the nature of the three day diet. You lose weight the three days on the diet, put a few back on during the four days off, but you usually start the next three day cycle a pound or two lower than you started the last cycle. The weight history chart shows a lot of ups and downs but with a slow, steady trend downwards over time. The diet's appeal is that most people can handle three days of hardship without giving up. I've lost the weight I wanted to several times over the last 20 years or so. Tougher now as I am more sedentary in my senior years.
