I returned to the gym yesterday after a two-week absence due to illness. Expected a large weight loss, but instead showed a gain of 5 pounds. Was shocked! Then remembered that I had started steroids a week earlier. Friends had warned they cause weight gain. Am now worried just how long I'll be on them and their effect on my diet.

Had a huge fight with boyfriend last night and received a call my uncle had died. I'm exhausted and feel like eating lots of comfort food. Good thing there's nothing too bad in the house to eat.
