great post, I think you are right about losing slowly as it becomes a lifestyle change and forms good ongoing habits

I mix and match, when I eat too much, or too bad, and get sad about it, I work to lose weight quickly and I feel happier. When I'm happy, or feel I'm losing weight too fast and I'm hungry and dizzy, I then work to lose weight slowly. I'm not a fan of set rules, I just go with my gut, both physically and metaphorically 😊

It’s taken me a few years to loose 45 kilos. Still have 12 left to reach my goal. Each kilo is an epic journey. Slow and steady is the key for me. I loose 10 kilos then maintain for a while before I begin again. Learning and growing in health as I go.

Thank for your feed back. From my own experiences I was about to lose 30kg in just 5 months, but I did out 10 back on over a period of another 3 months.
My focus is now around learning how to keep it off.
I am working slower this time so that I can teach myself those new habits to support my new lifestyle moving forward.

I believe faster is more motivating the more that come off is the driving factor to keep going and what more result
if its to slow you'll probally fall off the wagon

Faster is better for motivation, also you are more tuned in to what you eat on a daily basis, less likly to consider a cheat meal, more interesting as it becomes a good challenge. Main issue once losing weight is keeping it off, but slow vs fast in my opinion better results from fast especially if you have a lot of weight to shed.

I had a gastric band and lost 25 kilos very quickly. Felt like I was cheating because it came off in a matter of months.
Over time my weight ballooned and I put on 30 kgs. Had the gastric band removed 2 years ago it wasn’t helping and causing side issues.
I have been on a slow and steady loss about a kilo a month. This time I feel like I am teaching myself good habits and can do this without interventions.
Its been a huge and expensive learning curve but for the first time in my life I feel I have control. It’s only taken me 50 years to learn🤪

i agree that faster weight loss is best.
but the quickness of my diet would be suitable to me.

I am trying to lose weight quickly and over 10 weeks I have lost 7 kilos. 10 weeks is plenty of time to change a diet and adapt to a new routine. I am going to continue exactly as I am and I am accepting that one crazy food day here and there is ok.
