Post workout treat. 4 hours later and still full, had to walk this one off after eating it.
The protein content in steak is extremely high. Do you think we are able to utilize all of the protein from that steak? Or, does it get wasted or stored?

In general our bodies don’t store protein, it gets broken down and excreted but there are benefits to high protein eating- when you are trying to lose weight, it increases your feeling of fullness, and if you have a lot of free amino acids in your blood (what protein is broken down into)- you are less likely to lose muscle mass when you are restricting calories. It’s called ‘muscle sparing’ I think. If you are losing weight, a % of that WILL be muscle mass, and the more protein you eat, the smaller than % is 😄
