still cheating on charting. still working on speaking to myself kindly about being sort of sick, disliking the dietician visit, and working to improve actual nutrition.
just put the new foods in database and charted.
i like what's going on here so far today, food-wise. the shake is not horrible and i think would be good mixed into hot chai, maybe only a half per day because of fat content. i was hesitant about the purchase as it is ridiculously inexpensive, even by grocery outlet standards. also most things that i think are good at g.o. disappear before the next day...so hopefully can grab a few more before they're gone.
i may have some green or clear broth later, enough solids. fingers crossed my body digs this stuff today.

cheating by journaling because i can't bear to chart right now. but i will journal it to remind myself that i'm still working on it!
5 oz. ensure clear nutrition drink
5 oz. soylent vanilla ready-to-drink meal
4 oz. happy baby organic root veg and turkey with quinoa
4 thin stackers rice crackers
later,an inconsequential and tiny medical thing, but suddenly
1 pt. IPA
a lot of potato chips.

also consumed gluten free vegan lemon scone
and a pint of red ale
and the visit with the dietician was pretty discouraging. i went into it open to suggestion and willing to try what they suggested...i think the plan has merit but i dislike the insistence that i'm making myself sick by being afraid of getting sick, though of course i know my emotional state has an effect on my GI system.
so i am supposed to dramatically increase how much i consume, and as quickly as i can. and i'm supposed to not read labels, and to tell myself when eating something, "this will probably be okay."
i have been trying so hard.

Happy Sunday. Today I want to focus more on listening to my body and talking to it a bit more nicely, instead of trying so hard that I become stressed out about better macros.
I see a dietician in a couple of days. Some things about that are great! I have only been helped nominally by such visits in the past. But I can do this. I'm the one who shops, I'm the one who puts the food in my mouth, I'm the one who cooks, though I haven't been up to that lately.
I was thinking about trying a little bit of baby food again--was just going over some days in the past where symptoms seemed down and nutrition was a bit better. Plus it comes in cute tiny jars. Also I think cleaning up the kitchen so that cooking (even making broth!) is a bit more inviting.
That is maybe a lot all at once. But I'm off to the store before it's too hot to enjoy the walk.

Six or eight hours later I still have cramps from/since eating a handful of nut thins and some faux cheese. I crashed hard and slept, an evening nap.
The cheese had more fat than I realized.
How I eat: it is a hybrid of diets. There are elements from the low FODMAP diet and the gastroparesis diet, low fat/low residue. I try to only eat in the morning, so that being more upright supports more being digested. I ate just to get more calories and it just didn't turn out well--not a good macro for the day as a whole.
Try again tomorrow.
