I joined WW "officially" last week. I'm logging all my food on the little book you get but was wondering if I should log it here too. I think I'm going to face a time shortage if I do that but I also think that it would make me more accountable to do it both places.
Had weighed in on Sat at 151 and change but then on Sun had a fat fest at a friends World Cup party followed by InNOut so I was back at 153.5 this morning. I'm going to chill a couple days, exercise and see if I can weigh in under last week on Weds (my WW meeting day.)
I've used all of my flex points plus 13 for the week soooo...should I divide those points by 3 (days left in my WW week) so that I stay under for the week? That's what I'm going to try to do. On a positive note, I'm eating more veggies/fruits this week. Not as satisfying as my normal carb binges, but the snap peas I'm eating right now could be pretzels if I imagine really hard ;)
A good thing for me about WW is that I think you start to make food choices better just by volume...when you think about "how much" you can eat for points instead of what sounds good it makes more sense to eat stuff that is good for you.
Need to go to spin class a couple times this week. Also, next week I'm on vacation! whoo-hoo. Not going anywhere really, but my fiance's mom got us a great hotel room in the city for a night. So looking forward to that. We'll mostly go over bar exam outlines, but it will be nice just to have a little space together. Hope everyone has a good week and thanks for the nice e-mails.

Yesterday I joined WW with my friend Jen. I'm not seeing too much by way of results yet in this attempt to lose weight. I think that my thyroid is messing with me. Of course a little irked that the weight on the WW scale doesn't match what I weigh on my scale at home...of course at home I weight myself naked and I think the WW girls might object to that a bit. lol. Anyone have a hard time getting diagnosed with the hypothyroidism? My fam has a history of it, but the blood tests are inconclusive...but I am anemic and have high cholesterol which are also markers for hypo I have read. Argh...just wish I could figure myself out!

I went to the fair on Monday and generally had a fun 4th of July weekend. Of course that meant I also ate/drank too much. A little frustrated that the weight isn't coming off any faster. I went to a spin class yesterday and my sit bones are hurting today plus it's rainy so I really want to nap.
Strategy for this week: Keep trying to drink more water. Have protein/fiber shakes for breakfast and right before I go home for dinner--seems like nights and weekends crush my calorie count.
Anyone have any tips for eating with husbands at dinner and on weekends? Anyone have much success with the meal replacement shakes? The one I'm using is called Metabolic Reset from Whole foods.

Think the holiday weekend sort of derailed the weight loss for this week. Hopped on the scale first thing this morning and it said 152.9 but then the second and third...and fourth-lol--were back at 153.2. Kinda bummed but have the weekend to maybe take a long walk or a jog and try and eat right so maybe it will go down. I'd love to break 150 soon I'm so tired of being 20lbs over my grad school weight. Not discouraged though. I'm going to keep on trucking. I know for sure that I haven't been drinking enough water this week so I'm going to buy another big bottle. Hope everyone has a great weekend.
